Vice President, Safety Policy, Connectivity & Technology at American Trucking Associations (ATA)
Michael Cammisa is the Vice President for Safety Policy, Connectivity & Technology for the American Trucking Associations (ATA). Prior to joining ATA in December of 2016, Mike spent 16 years at the Association of Global Automakers, most recently as senior director of safety and connected vehicles. Mike and his team at ATA work with state and federal officials, trucking companies, truck manufacturers, technology companies and other stakeholders to help shape the regulatory framework for connected and automated vehicles, as well as other vehicle and roadway safety issues. Mike has also contributed to the Transportation Research Board’s Strategic Highway Research Program as a member of that program’s Safety Committee, and has served on several committees of the Society of Automotive Engineers.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia, a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
