Luke Schneider is the Chief Operating Officer of wejo, the global mobility data ecosystem connecting automotive manufacturers, businesses and consumers. Luke’s remit is to accelerate the scale of the wejo business, through the design of this pioneering new category which will transform the way we live, work and travel.
Luke has spent over 25 years at the intersection of transportation and technology, in a career beginning at Ford Motor Company and spanning senior positions with Verticalnet, Flexcar and Zipcar. Most recently he was CEO of tech-enabled car rental business, Silvercar, which was acquired by Audi, AG in 2017.
Prior to joining Silvercar, Luke served as CTO of Zipcar, Inc., the world’s largest car-sharing company. Previously he worked for Flexcar, the US’ first car-sharing company (acquired by Zipcar), where he served as CTO and VP of Strategy. Luke was responsible for new product development, including the award-winning Zipcar iPhone app. Luke began his career at Ford Motor Company in 1992 and also served as SVP, Operations for Verticalnet, Inc., where he led product development for the software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider.
Luke earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
