John W. Schmotzer is the Connected Vehicle Data Architecture, Strategy, and Application Manager for Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) focused on enabling and evangelizing the connected vehicle data platforms both within the company and across the industry. John combines thought leadership with relentless execution to take calculated business risks derived from data driven decisions. As a result multiple vehicle data products are already being enjoyed by Ford Customers, with more on the way with the launch of the Mustang Mach-E, a revolutionary step forward for Ford’s vision of an electrified future and the next generation F-Series, the best selling vehicle in the US for the last 40+ years. John’s team provides support to the core business units including: Powertrain, In Vehicle Infotainment, Quality, Manufacturing, Strategy, and Connectivity to better understand how to leverage Connected Vehicle Data as an Enterprise Asset.
Prior to joining Ford, John was the technical lead on a $10 million system, electrical, and software project for Raytheon Corporation as part of the Patriot Missile System Redesign effort. Due to the classified nature of his work, he can only share a limited amount of information on the product in the field.
