Lawrence Kennedy joins us at TU-Automotive Detroit 2020 as a panellist on Panel Discussion: Entertainment and the Auto Industry – The Future of Infotainment.
Lawrence Kennedy leads product development and strategy for YouTube teams working to bring Music to the places people love to listen; in cars, on TVs, speakers, smart screens, wearables, and within apps. He also works to create innovative music experiences for YouTube and Google leveraging search & voice.
Lawrence has held similar roles for the past 10+ years at Spotify, Pandora and Mercedes-Benz; delivering first-of-their-kind music integrations to cars (including CarPlay, Android Auto, GM, Volvo, Toyota, Honda, JLR, and Tesla), apps (such as Waze, Google Maps, Google Clock, Facebook Messenger, Tinder, and Instagram), TVs, voice speakers, smart screens (Google Nest Hub), gaming consoles, and wearable devices (Samsung & Apple Watch).
Lawrence holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a master’s degree in embedded systems from Oakland University.
