Dr. Raed Shatara is a Market Development Senior Principal Engineer for STMicroelectronics, Livonia, Michigan, responsible for RF, broadcast receivers, V2X and ADAS. Previously he was Senior Principal Systems Engineer for Raytheon Corporation in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, worked on the future generation of tactical communication and Electronic Warfare products. Before he worked for Raytheon, he was a Staff Research Engineer in Delphi Corp.’s Electronics and Safety division (now is APTIV) in Kokomo, Indiana, where he designed advanced diversity systems and next-generation receivers. His research interests include mobile communications, vehicle Connectivity, Safety and signal processing. Dr. Shatara has received 9 patents to date. He has published numerous papers and has been recognized with Delphi’s “Boss” Kettering Award and is Connected Vehicle Professional with SAE certificate. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University and Purdue University, respectively, Dr. Shatara received the Delphi fellowship to pursue a doctorate degree from Bundeswehr University in Munich, Germany. He resides in Northville, Michigan.
