MEET THE SHORTLIST
Gaurav Kumar Singh is an incoming MBA candidate at Harvard Business School. He currently works in the Autonomous Vehicles Strategy and Planning group. In this cross-functional role, Gaurav helps develop and communicate product and go-to-market strategy for autonomous vehicles internally and externally. The role involves financial modeling, industry forecasting as well as strategic planning for launch of Ford’s autonomous vehicles services in the major US cities.
I have had some amazing mentors and supervisors who have trusted that I can take on challenging assignments. But the proudest moment of my career has been teaching machine and deep learning at Ford’s annual training week. I did that for a couple of years, and some very high impact projects came from our learners.
ABOUT GAURAV KUMAR SINGH
Gaurav is an incoming MBA candidate at Harvard Business School (Class of 2022). He is interested in all things Tech and Mobility
Gaurav has over 8 years of experience working in a wide variety of fields including Control Systems, Machine Learning and Data Science, Business Strategy, Financial Modeling and Product Management. After completing his Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, he worked as a Controls Engineer working on several ADAS projects from various OEMs. Thereafter, Gaurav joined Ford in December 2016 as a machine-learning researcher pushing Artificial Intelligence and related innovation ahead. His work on gesture recognition projects put Ford on the top of the LeaderBoard of a highly competitive AI benchmark. In March 2019, he joined the Autonomous Vehicles Strategy and Planning team to participate and influence in launching/scaling of autonomous vehicles services.
Gaurav is on the Board of Directors of WEtech Alliance, one of seventeen Regional Innovation Centres in the Province of Ontario. In collaboration with several public and private organizations as well as other passionate individuals, he contributes to the development of an ever-growing, tight-knit, cross-border community which focuses on technology for social impact.
Gaurav has represented Ford as Panelist, Session Leader and Speaker at various international autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence conferences in cities like Detroit, Windsor, San Francisco, Montreal and Berlin. He served on the judging panel for four categories on prestigious AutoSens Awards 2019, which highlights the greatest design, technical and marketing innovations within the automotive sensing sector. He judged the finals of the Business Pitch competition and provided industry insights to students at Canadian Undergraduate Computer Science Conference (CUCSC 2019).
