INTERVIEW WITH HENRY GREENIDGE, SHORTLISTED FOR RISING STAR OF THE YEAR UNDER 40
Congratulations on being shortlisted Henry!
As the Regional Public Affairs Manager, Henry is responsible for working externally with government and community stakeholders to educate the general public on the benefits of autonomous vehicles and advance AV policy in cities.
The proudest moment of my career to date has been being involved in Cruise’s efforts to provide critical contactless delivery services to assist the City of San Francisco in the response to COVID-19. Our company was able to partner with a food bank as well as a non-profit focused on connecting residents with restaurants. Most importantly, thousands of meals continue to be delivered including to those from underserved communities. Additionally, the public is being exposed to this game-changing technology in a way that was not previously contemplated. Much to do has been made about the readiness of the technology--that it has taken longer than anticipated. While this may be true, we are seeing real world applications through delivery services during a time of great need. I'm proud to play a small part in advancing the technology's usefulness.
